We've curated these high-impact, non-partisan election protection opportunities in Georgia which are open to volunteers and ready to accept your help.
Georgia has become one of the country’s most contested states for voting rights. A 2021 law lets any resident file an unlimited number of challenges to their neighbors’ eligibility, a tactic voting-rights advocates warn is resurging ahead of the 2026 midterms . In 2025 the state moved to cancel roughly 478,000 inactive registrations under its “use it or lose it” law, and the Georgia Supreme Court had to strike down several last-minute State Election Board rules around hand-counting and certification. Georgia is also under intense federal scrutiny, including an FBI investigation in Fulton County , that has added pressure on the election workers who keep the system running and is undermining public confidence on all sides. Trained, nonpartisan volunteers are the front line that ensures all eligible Georgians can actually vote. The organizations below are recruiting now.
